Overview

The Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship at St. Paul’s Hospital is a one year, fully funded position.

This fellowship offers extensive clinical exposure to both cardiac CT and cardiac MR.  The fellowship will allow for the successful candidate to achieve a Level 3 qualification in both cardiac CT and cardiac MR.  Fellows are exposed to not only coronary artery disease applications but also advanced heart failure, congenital heart disease, and structural heart disease. St. Paul’s Hospital is a national and international leader in the treatment of advanced aortic stenosis and transcatheter heart valve therapy as well as the regional center of excellence for adult congenital heart disease, heart failure, and cardiac transplantation.

Fellows will be given adequate time and support for the pursuit of research interests and engagement in a number of research projects. The section has generated numerous publications (>100 in the last 4 years) in the field of CCTA, CMR, imaging to support structural heart disease interventions, and technology validation.

Teaching and on-call commitments are modest with funding for academic pursuits and conferences available.
